In spite of it's current name, no witch ever lived here. However, during the famous Salem Witch trials in the 1690's the house was occupied by Judge Jonathan Corwin who was the presiding magistrate in the proceedings that found 18 people guilty of witchcraft and sentenced them to the gallows. This is the only house in Salem that remains with direct ties to that dark period in American history. Today it sits on a busy downtown street corner and provides visitors with a glimpse into 17th century America. This lot for Sims features period details including the 3 steep front gables, catslide roof, diamond-paned windows and a massive central chimney. The 6 fireplaces include a walk-in cooking hearth in the kitchen. Main floor has Keeping Room and Dining Room with Kitchen, Laundry and Bathroom behind. Second floor has Master Bedroom and Nursery each with ensuite. Study space in the central hall. Attic has two more unfinished bedrooms. Basement has large family room and fitness room with wine storage. Look for the hidden doorway to the secret Alchemist's Room in the basement. Maybe a witch lived here after all!
