Hi Diana! Thank you for your nice words. Yes, I see that you changed your banner and I like it. And yes, my avatar is me, a couple of years ago when I visited my daughter in Ireland. I like that photo but no... I'm not especially beautiful but, as a matter of fact; I told someone else today as well: A smile is the cheapest facelift! $\:D$ Don¡t worry about answering on all the comments I wrote on your screenies. It takes a lot of time. Now and again I just prepare to send kudos to people and, on the contrary of marcorse, I like to make people feel good. Even if there are i.e. stories that are not as good as that, I think that the people who made it, did an effort and every effort deserves a comment; not always of the same importance but a comment anyway. $\:\)$ Call me a dreamer; I like to see people happy. hey Diana $\:wub\:$ thank you for thinking of me..well i was gone all of last month bc i didnt have the internet consistently for a few weeks..now it is all good..how have you been? sorry you have had to hold up the painting arena all by yourself..tee hee $\:P$ i still have hundreds of paintings already i created last year..just to take pix and upload..i feel badly bc i didnt get all my Christmas ones uploaded but i will put them up this year..long way away now...i dont care for this time of the year..holidays over..and on my island it has rained which it rarely rains and now the rain has made it cold here..not cold enough for turning the heater on..but cold enough to bite the nose and chill the bone when i go for my nightly walks..i dont like the cold unless i am in a place where it snows..i like playing in the snow..sledding ..snowmen and all that..at my house in tennessee it does snow there..and in the smokey mountains near my house..many times i have gotten snowed in up in those mountains..we have an outdoor ice rink here at the hotel del coronado..but each time i try to ice skate i cannot do it..my ankles are so weak ..i wish i could.. but all i do is hold on to the side rail hahaha..what is going on with you? xxoo paramiti~

Hey Diana $\:wub\:$ , How are you doing? Feeling more the thing $\:\)$ ? I'm fine, health wise, I think...just had a few scares recently...when my mum died she had cancer, my brother has another form of it and my dad recently told me I may have a hereditary swollen aorta problem (fab!)..so I've been to the docs to have tests to make sure I'm ok...at the moment I'm a-ok, but I guess regular check ups are now going to be on the cards...and healthier eating (bah!) but it puts things into perspective, about how you have to live each day as best you can and to enjoy life...No snow at the moment, but it's just starting to get really cold again, this time of year is when we usually have snow!! So we will have to see what the weather brings $\:D$ ..Been playing sims a bit the past few days..just had my hair cut...been working...and playing my new games I got for xmas and old ones too $\:D$ ...got the new stuff pack coming in the post sometime, so I'm looking forward to that, and some new cookery books (I only get them to stare at the pictures $\;\)$ ) Went out last weekend and bought some nice new clothes (because I've lost a lot of weight and nothing fit! $\;\)$ ) and nearly gave my bf a heart attack when he saw how much I'd spent $\;\)$ ...but I'm ready for summer now $\:D$ ...How's the job hunting going, anything on the horizon? G'day Melanie, First of all, really humble apologies for not getting back to you after your lovely messages on my GB late last year. . . . I have no real excuse except for a while I was totally unaware I had one!!!! GB that is. That's how newbie I was back then! I'm tickled that you like my amateurish avatar . . . compared to some of the artistically designed efforts I've seen in the last 3 months or so that I've been part of this community . . . it's a bit pathetic . . but I made it one day on a whim on a free site and I've kind of "grown into it" ! $\:\)$ As for my profile . . . I just said it as it was as that is basically the way I do most things! I'm not particularly interested or inclined to massage other people's vanity just for the sake of doing it! LOL So believe me when I say your paintings are my very favourites. In fact I have just now downloaded another set for a Lot I'm still "cooking"; this time it's the one with the Amalfi and Lake Como pics [set 001 I think]. I don't know where you get your inspiration, but I hope [for the sake of all us artistically challenged downloaders mostly $\;\)$ ] that it continues for a long time to come! On another note I was reading back through some old threads on the Simalot Forum last night and happened to cross paths with the one on pet peeves? I totally enjoyed [and spent way too much time I might add!] reading the to and fro about mailboxes on sticks and stinky garbage cans! Some of the other comments were enlightening, but these two struck a chord somehow . . . .. here in MY suburban part of the land of Oz, we call mailboxes "letterboxes" . PostOffices here are widely separated, so Mailboxes are those big red things scattered around communities where you actually post mail that you have stamped. No-one collects outgoing mail here. And 99S% of those lettterboxes are the "on a stick" or variation of, type. We used to have mail deliverers on foot years ago [and yes, pretty nearly always male back then] but they only crossed a propertyline for a registered delivery which had to go hand to hand . . . everything else went in the box at the frontgate. . . or whatever was on the boundary. Our blocks [lots?] were then typically around 120ft frontage, but between the propertyline and the footpath [sidewalk?] there was always a strip of Council land - a grassy area, frequently with a centre tree - that landholders had to maintain. So passersby didn't actually walk where the letterboxes were located, and vehicles were also separated. Now, in this techno age, our deliverers ride motorcycles with saddlebags for the postal material! We still have the occasional problem - usually around New Years but not solely, where young people, or those with no sense, pull the posts out of the ground and swap boxes around the area! or simply just throw them down. Deliveries outside of suburban areas are pretty much the same as those mentioned in the Forum . . . all sorts of strange/weird/wonderful receptacles either singly at a property entrance, or in groups where there are many homes along a particular sideroad, and deliveries to these are not always daily either! These mailboxes also serve as receptors for other deliveries not just postal. Up until perhaps the last 5 or 6 years there wasn't a need to secure these, but now most of them are locked to prevent interference/theft. Sad but a fact! As for the bins . . . we say rubbish bin, but the collection truck was always "the garbage truck" strange eh? . . up until 10 years ago we used identical bins to those in the game . . . originally metal, but towards the end of that era, plastic and we were forever chasing the lids around the neighbourhood as the "garbos" running behind the truck never took the time to make sure the lid stayed where the bin had been! Then Union rules came into play, and the bins became "too heavy" for the garbos to handle . . so household refuse went into plastic bags of a particular size and density, to be left at the kerb overnight for collection on a particular day, once a week, usually in the early hours around 5 to 7 am . . . what a terrible time that was, but cats and dogs had a field day every week and the garbos refused to collect any bag that wasn't "whole". Ugh! I still shudder when I think about those days! Now we have the ubiquitous wheelie bin . or rather 2 . . . . one fairly large bright raspberry coloured one for refuse [no plant material allowed, just household stuff] collected once a week, and one HUGE raspberry coloured one with a bright yellow lid for recyclables. . . but limited to PET plastic, paper, cardboard, glass containers - capless and rinsed with clean water first please - and cans - ditto - emptied fortnightly. . . . and like one contributor to that Forum commented . . . people often are seen checking to see whether it's the right day to put out the recycle bin! Or even just putting it out, just in case it is! LOL I probably should now apologise for taking up so much space . . and time too I guess . . . with something not really germaine to the main reason for commenting . . . . but I enjoyed that Forum experience and it was too late to join in, so . . . . sorry, but you're it! $\:D$ I'd better go now while I'm still in one piece LOL . . . . but thanks again for your great contributions to the Sims3 cause and I've no doubt at all that I'll be "talking" to you again in the future.
