Regarding your question, the My Essay chairs work with this same set chess table, as any other dining chair from the game (or cc chair cloned from a dining chair).
First, try to add the chairs in all 4 sides of the chess table. This way, the table will "grab" the 2 usable chairs when you pick the table on buy mode. No need of moveobjects cheat.
If this does not work, please redownload the chess table and make sure you replace it on your mods folder, or the game will only load the oldest version.
Just to make sure we are covering all angles, can you please tell us if your game is fully patched?
