The solid walls are built with stones from the famous Cyclonesue quarry. The wonderful diamond windows were handcrafted by no one less than the famous window maker Mutske! And though the stairs are old, there are no termites living in the wood! A little wax protection and they will begin to shine like in former times. Same thing with the two fireplaces.
It's not that spacious, but I think an older couple could feel comfortable. At the first floor there is a little entry and the hall, leading to the dining space with morning sun, the kitchen with an old, but still functionating oven, a tiny bathroom and to the backyard. At the 2nd floor, the attic, you find a bedroom with a huge bed with old fabrics of the fabricmaker-society Cyclonesue - guess they couldn't get it downstairs - a bathroom with an old rusty tub, toilet and sink. Give them a proper clean and they will thank you! The first room you can use as a retreat, reading by the fireplace or writing or something like that.
Spiraled (well, not really round, more rectangular) stairs lead from the attic to the basement. From here another stair leads in the -2nd floor, an old wine cellar with shelves and barrels still left. And still another stair leads to an -3rd floor. I saw something left under the stairs but don't know exactly what it is - too dark! There's a legend about Iris' old cottage that tells it hides a secret ...
From the basement as well as from the 1st floor you reach the backyard - a wonderful place for avid gardeners or having some roasted marshmallows! There's still a lot of wood left for the fireplaces. And an old rack, I wonder why they forgot the fabrics on it?
Well, it's not really cheap, but it's worth every single Simoleon, I swear!
Sit down on the bench in front, relax and smell the roses ... wouldn't it be nice to settle down here on this romantic spot of lovely Riverview?
