Fanny grew up in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee, so to many she was called a backwoods country girl. She tried so hard to fit in once in high school, as she didn't want that grade school reputation to follow her. She was a bit embarrassed of growing up with next to nothing and her deep mountain accent. She got a job at after school washing dishes in a local cafe/bakeryat just 14, and even though it didn't pay much she manages to buy herself some cheap sylish clothes and shoes, as well as some makeup and accessories. She of course only bought 1 or 2 items each week and hid them from her parents. She would wear an outfit and slip on one of what she termed, her "Frappy old Country dress" over top, and take it off on the school bus. She has saved up the remainder of her money for a place of her own in town ( just a small 1 room studio apartment with separate bath), so that she can attend beauty school to learn to cut and style hair properly, even though she is a natural at it. But she also wants to learn all about makeup , skin care, nail care and everything it entails, so that she can eventually open her own shop someday. She wishes to help all the mountain girls to be more confident and enable them to fit into town/city life better, so that they don't have to experience her struggles. Someday maybe she will learn to better appreciate her upbringing, but until then lets wish her a bright future.
