More time now
In our area over 1300 people haven gotten laid off. Several companies and manufacturers which had the most employees closed down. I was one of the ones laid off. Finding a job now has been quite difficult so I'm going to take the route of courses. I want to take teaching English as a second language. I've always been interested in Japanese culture and though am nowhere near being fluent I can understand some of it, and say a few things. I'm still learning the language, and will continue to learn it. I also have to learn to write it. Hiragana and Katakana will be much easier than Kanji. In the meantime I guess I'll have more time to make walls and floors and learn to recolour! lol
Happy 2009!
I hope 2009 is a better year for you than it has been so far for me. We found out our centre is closing so nearly 300 people will be laid off. I'll miss all the people I worked with. Some became really good friends these past two years and we do plan to keep in touch and meet when we can. I'm not letting it bring me down, though. I've plans to continue my education by taking Japanese language courses to further what Japanese I already know, take teaching English as a second language, and I plan to finally finish writing my novel. I had stopped when the girls were little to raise them because their father was not around so I was a single parent. We have a month left, and some people have already left to new jobs. I'm glad for them. But that means I'm now left with more responsibility in my small administrative department.
By end of February I'll have more time to devote to the Sims! I hope to have the Sims 3 by then, and they will go on the new laptop I will get for my courses and writing. I need some kind of entertainment on it when I'm tired of studying and working! LOL That's when I'll work even harder at recolouring and learning to create my own content.
Well, time to finish fixing my minisite. Go away for a bit, and everything changes!
Joyous Holidays!!
I wanted to thank everyone who ever downloaded and enjoyed something I created. I also would like to thank everyone whose creations I've loved. And I would like to wish everyone a joyous holiday season (whatever holiday you celebrate), good health, and much happiness and love.
D'oh!
So yesterday I had problems uploading the sets I had made. They're submitted now, and there's even a master set! Yay! I feel better now. The Holidays always make me feel nostalgic, and while we've been decorating the apartment and shopping for Christmas we've been doing our traditional little things like listening to carols and drinking hot cocoa/tea and reminiscing about past Christmases. This year I have to work Christmas Day, and though I'll miss my family on that day I will get to spend it with friends from work that in two months I may never see again. Our centre is closing in February, we just found out, and though I know many I'll keep in touch with there will be some who won't reply or be able to keep in touch. How do you celebrate the Holidays?
Finally!
Well, those four days off turned into covering shifts for others for two days, and then two days of running around helping my mom shop for Christmas and doing some of my own shopping. Then back to work. But I took today off, have tomorrow off, and will go back Wednesday. I spent the morning making some festive walls and floors that I hope you'll like! This amongst the cleaning and washing and decorating I'm doing. LOL There are three sets that are all part of a master set. Let me know if you like them or not!Not around a while.
Well, things have been busy, busy, busy at work so I had no time to do anything! Literally came home, ate, and then went to bed. But I have the next four days off ~~ starting today ~~ so I will be making more walls and floors!Christmas is coming faster than you think. So I'll try to make some nice Holiday walls and floors.
Sorry for the delay
I had wanted to make new walls and submit for weeks now, but a family tragedy hit, and the month of October was horrendous. Though it's still ongoing, I realized I need this normalcy so here I am with another wall set. And I still plan to learn to recolour. LOL Meanwhile, hope you like the new set, and expect more to come soon!Job Training
Guess I didn't tell anyone that I got a new position at work that requires much more responsibility, headaches, and hours. Oh, but not more pay. *sigh* Anyway, it's why I haven't had a chance to make more walls or floors lately. I'm still in training, and hope to get to making more walls and floors soon.Day 1 of 4 Day Vacation.
So today is the first day of my 4-day vacation. Well, only today is a paid day. *sigh* Spent the day making walls and floors. I hope you like them! I'll have more to submit in the next few days.I haven't bought Apartment Life yet. I do plan to get it, and should be doing so in October. Unless I make it a request for my birthday in December. I'm not in any big rush.
Well, off to watch a Korean dorama. Keep poking in my minisite to see what new walls and floors are up for download!
Absent for a bit
I wasn't very active for a while, and I'm sorry for that. I lost a sister-in-law, and was grieving. But I'm back. I have two sets of floors that will be published, and will be making more walls and floors over the weekend. I've been keeping track of the results of the poll to know what you'd like to see more of. So keep voting! lolStill working on the recolouring. Working being the operative word. The pdf files on here are great, but for some reason it's not quite turning out the way the tutorials say it should. lol *sigh* But I haven't given up! I will learn it!
