My son-in-law got me started on the Sims with Hot Date, and I got every expansion pack for Sims1 (except Deluxe Edition).
When they announced The Sims 2, I was so excited!!! I purchased every xpac and almost all the stuff packs.
Now, Sims 3 is getting ready to wind down. I've purchased a lot of the xpacs and some of the stuff packs. I just really un-impressed with EA when they didn't seem to be listening to their end users on playability, etc. So many problems!
Sims 4 will be out within the next year or so. I hope they work the bugs out of it more than they did with Sims 3. They've made some improvements to the game play, and it's much more fun now than it used to be, but it's not of the same quality and caliber as Sims 2 was.
