Created for: The Sims 3
When the transcontinental railroad opened up access to land on the prairies, immigrants from the U.K., Europe and Russia arrived by the thousands building small homes and replacing the native grasslands with grains. Wheat was king and the future looked promising. But a devastating period of drought struck central North America in 1929 and the crops could not anchor the parched soil. Great clouds of dust darkened the sky and drove families to despair. Many tried year after year to plant crops, but many were forced to leave their land and move further west in search of food and work. With just 2 rooms on each floor plus a small bathroom this house is a perfect starter home. A peek through the windows reveals that this home needs a little work, but it is priced right for enterprising Simmigrants. It would also make a good lot for ghosts to haunt. Part of my Historic Canada Series.
