If you're unaware of what downloads are present in your downloads
folder, be sure to use Q-Express Installer in order to prevent
duplicates. Having duplicates can cause an error, and Q-Express
replaces any old files with the new ones. To my knowledge, the content
appearing in this lot has not had updates or renamed files, so it
should replace what you've got (if you've got 'em) just fine.</p>

This house presents the sort of environment I got used to in Chicago.
It has an urban feel to it, and I'm offering it in a state of disrepair
so that you can have the chance to reinvent it for practice both in
design and your overall creativity and use of space. Not all of you
will rise to the challenge of making that possible, as overwhelming of
a project this can be at times. If you're in the Sims 2 to practice
your design sense, this is the house for you, and there isn't a better
way to practice that than from a home inspired by true architecture present
in Chicago. I consider this a generous step to make, honestly, because
there are people stupid enough to steal designs, though I know they'd
have no proof of it being theirs compared to the weight of reasons
behind every process I underwent with this project. This particular
house could be the best one I create with The Sims 2, with part 3
coming around the corner of Spring. Generous, I'd say, because, well, I
forgot, it's just, I guess to say that this is my best creation so far,
I haven't been able to share it with the content that was in it, and
there's the chance it could float up somewhere being sold by someone
else. :S. In any case, I hope that working with this house proves
beneficial to your good design efforts, and I can't think of a better
use of the game than for that reason. So, welcome home.<br /> <hr /> By <a href="../../../../../../../../profiles/view.php?mid=1887460" target="_blank">ianbradley26</a> Mar 29, 2009<br /> A special note to builders and designers. With the 2 square windows,
you'll want to replace them with Murano's Rejal Build Set, not included
of course. You may also prefer Shakeshaft's Bourbon Fencing for the
balconies in back of the house as well as surrounding the spiral stairs
that access each floor. Another set that is well worth it for this lot
is the Art Deco build materials at simdesignavenue. They have the Art
Deco dining set featured in the photo. Also, Holy Simoly's white brick
wall makes a nice update on the exterior if you already have that. If
you want to add a touch of Chicago to the home, try the brown brick
wall on the first floor, with the top floors in white. Exposed brick is
present inside. You'll find at first the rooms to be unusually tight
and cramped, but they are actually made to feel like real rooms, given
that each square is 3 foot squared, without the consideration of walls
on each side possibly. Another piece of content you might like is the
donation pack from Holy Simoly that is available at a very low price
that you offer for the modern stairs and railings to replace the old
Art Deco stairs and railings in the loft area. I had originally
forgotten to take away custom ceilings, but have updated the file with
the swirl concrete so that it inhabits a time before speckled spatter.
Why we live with carpet and that stuff and survive cancer at all amazes
me!!</p>
