Hello, amazing people! I have autism and I thought it'd be nice to make a trait of it. I am aware some of the symptoms may not all be the same for everyone, but based on my experiences, I've formed this trait.

Information about this trait (in simple words as I struggle to read lots of words)

- Base Game compatible
- Toddler - Elder trait (because you are born with autism)
- Five buffs in total

(If you wish for more buffs, please comment and I'll see what I can do) :) I'll be happy to offer more.

- I've also made the buffs have extra emotional weight because daily life is a struggle and a realistic representation of this I think will impact the importance this trait can add to the game!

FoxyIsComing, thank you for your informative comment. There is no particular place on the spectrum that I’ve based this trait around, but if I were to acknowledge this now, I’d say it is a mix with no particularly set place on the spectrum. This mod has both under and overstimulated behaviours sometimes, it is dependant on the areas within proximity, current moods, or what the sim is doing. For example, in an area with a lot of people, your sim will often become overwhelmed and the external behaviour the sim shows is the same as how the tense buff drives sims to behave. That is an example of overstimulated behaviour and also under stimulated as well as it decreases dopamine levels of the sim and makes the sim want to distance themselves or walk away from the situation. I hope this answers your question well, the purpose of this trait was to focus on more positive traits rather than negative, as to show that autism has a lot of positive effects to our lives but also has a few things that may cause us to struggle more. I believe, as a creator, focusing to much on the negative is not the right approach when you are trying to represent disabilities; touching on feeling overwhelmed, feeling supported when around a person or people who are also neurodivergent, content to display how we can feel when we want to be more reserved and are doing something we enjoy, Imaginative is showing our creative side, Hyperfocused is when we feel like we would rather not be disturbed and are doing something we extremely enjoy and want to get done or finished without the interruption of others. I am very aware some of the symptoms may not all be the same for everyone, therefore this trait may feel inaccurate to some, as not all experiences with autism are exactly the same.
