To celebrate the 60 years of the People's Republic of Sarbodia, in 1972, VEB OFA released a pair of glasses named "Hammer und Kompass", which were conceived as a tribute to the Socialist State. They were designed by the renown East Sarbodian designer Rudolph Krohl. The frame is entirely made in plastic.
