All candies and desserts are decorative only items, to add living touch to your sims homes.
As far as we know, the only edible base we could use to clone is the dry food from "World Adventures" expansion pack. But we no longer have this expansion installed on our machines.
you can interact and change the colors of your candies, to make them appearing other flavors. Some few have stencils, but even this way, you will still be able to recolor other parts to customize them.
You can use both colors and textures :) using textures like geometric ones is a good way to give them a festive and Christmas atmosphere.
