Plodding Along - New Poll
Haven't gotten very far with my Solander Kitchen links, but I'm trying.I got tired of the old poll and put up a new one.
Here is the results from the last one.
Question: Which expansion packs are you currently playing with?
None - Base Game only
8.91% (27)
University
59.74% (181)
Nightlife
58.42% (177)
Open for Business
54.79% (166)
Family Fun Stuff
36.3% (110)
Glamour Life Stuff
41.58% (126)
Pets
55.45% (168)
Happy Holiday Stuff
30.69% (93)
Seasons
74.26% (225)
Seems most everyone has Seasons and not so many have the stuff packs. Interesting results. Anyway the new poll is about the kind of wood you like in your rooms (and one question about fixtures). So here's a new opportunity for kudos and I'd love to know what you think. I appreciate everyone who took the last poll. These polls have shaped a lot of the content you see and will continue to do so.
If a poll sparks a different idea, don't be afraid to PM me or send a guestbook entry and let me know. Can't guarantee I'll adopt every suggestion, but I'll certainly listen. Thanks again!
Screaming Loudly
Well, I got a newsletter from Pimp My Sims and went to their site to see their new layout which is very nice. However, they've removed Solander's first kitchen. You can find it on TSR by going to Retired Artists and SolanderCGN. But that means that all the links to my 20 "PMS" Kitchens are no longer valid because the kitchen isn't there. So I will try over the next few weeks to correct all 380 files. I did about 4 or 5 sets all the way through before exhaustion took over. I'll do it a bit at a time so I don't get this tired again.I would like to ask that if you see a problem with one of my files, that you please let me know. While I was changing links I came across one of the oven hoods that had a picture of a microwave on it. I changed it, of course. But these sets have been around quite a while, and it was never mentioned. Of course it could be that everyone is downloading the entire set, in which case it probably wouldn't be seen. Regardless, I'm human, so if you catch me being that, please let me know and I'll fix my errors when possible.
STUD Pics
Now that Anoeska's recolors are out, I wanted to see how they looked together with my shelves. Here are some samples. I think they go together pretty well. But I like variety and I wouldn't have an all-blue or all-pink shop. But add a bit of variety and I think it will do quite nicely. I have 27 sets of these objects. As of today, I've released 3. So I figure a set every day or two will last from 4 to 8 weeks. So you'll be seeing these around for a while. I might pull one set because I don't like it as much as the rest. But there is another set I want to finish, so maybe I'll substitute that. Who knows? Anyway, I'm through with them for now except for the publishing. The black shelves will be out in a day or two. Enjoy your shopping! Green Metal and Cherry Wood Blue Metal and Teak Wood Pink Metal and Wenge Wood Black Metal and Black WoodSTUD CRAZY!!!!!
OK. I admit it. I've gone absolutely crazy with these objects! I can't seem to stop recoloring them! I have about 10 sets ready to go. Only the red and purple ones in the picture from the previously blog entry are pure colors. After that, I got into textures. Here is a little preview. There are maybe 30 sets to come in all - provided that you enjoy downloading them as much as I like creating them, of course! If no one likes these, tell me now so I can stop and catch my breath!STUD in Full Swing
Shop Til U Drop is in full swing. The second recolor of the shelves comes out today. There are two more in the queue and probably more coming down the line. But for now I'm having a ton of fun with the objects! I've done three sets of them and they'll be coming out in due course as well. If you have any colors or patterns that you'd like to see these in, let me know. Anoeska is doing the blue and pink and the black and white speckled. So far, I've done purple and red and a pastel patterned one. More to come! I just can't stop recoloring these things! Here are a few ideas:Celebration x 2!
Well I have a couple of things to celebrate. I reached a long-time goal of 1 million subscriber downloads! Woohoo! Thanks to all the subscribers who have downloaded, thanked, commented and otherwise made things fun!The other thing is that as of the 14th, I will have been doing this for one year! It seems incredible! A year ago, I had not submitted a single thing. Now I have lots of creations and downloads and new friends. It's been a really great year and I hope to make next year even better!
Thanks again to you all. I'll keep on making it interesting!
Well That's It - Sort Of
Well, that's the last of the Turano sets - or is it? Actually, I have two more things coming out for the Turano. One is an add-on pack in dark red that matches AnoeskaB's original recolor. The other was a round-about user request. A Turano set in black and white. Combined with some of the items in AnoeskaB's other recolor, it provides some really interesting effects. I think you'll like it.The Calypso sets will be coming up this week. It seems that at least some of you didn't mind looking for meshes for the Mundy set. I hope that will be true for Calypso.
Other things will be coming around the bend, too, so I'll try and keep it interesting.
If you have an idea, let me know. Usually I can fit things in.
So far ideas from other people have proven to be pretty popular.
I'm a bit behind in thanking the mesh-makers for the objects I've downloaded to make things with, so until I get the time to do that, here is a big Thank You to you. I appreciate you doing what I cannot. At least, not yet.
Time to Stock Up on Meshes
It's time to prepare for the recolors that are coming. If you go to the Sims2Luxe site at http://www.sims2luxe.com/ and get everything that says Mundy or Calypso, you'll have what you need for my recolors that are coming. Just a warning - going into this site maximizes your browser. I'm hoping a lot of you already have the Calypso and Mundy sets and won't need to go get them, since they have been around a really long time. But for those that do, they are under Objects, New Meshes, Living Room, Dining Room, Study and Bedroom. Of course the sets will have more explicit instructions, but I just wanted to give you a heads up in case you wanted to be prepared.Aside from these sets, you can look forward to some more Shoukeir recolors, more Arizona recolors, at least one more set of Salsa recolors, lots of rugs and I'm working on some other ideas, but they haven't worked out right yet. And eventually, I'll have to get rid of some of these wall sets that are piling up. If you have anything you'd like to see, just PM or do a guestbook entry.
Diversion
Had to take a slight break from the rooms to get out some rugs and walls that people had requested. No worries. Back to rooms soon enough.Still no word from that site. I tried.
Still working on lots of new things for you. Don't worry. It won't all be pink! Seem to have been on pink binge lately. Must be due to Easter or something. But I think I'm over it now. At least I know I can do girly if it's required!
